Zanzibar Gem - Zamioculcus zamiifolia

Zanzibar Gem is a tropical perennial plant native to eastern Africa. It derives its name from the cycad genus Zamia, due to its similar looking foliage. It is an herbaceous plant growing to 45-60 cm tall, from a stout underground, succulent rhizome. 

Temperature: 

Zanzibar Gem does not like temperatures below 15°C. The best growth is produced between 18°C - 26°C. Hot temperatures will give an increase in leaf production. 

Light: 

Medium light is best, however it will tolerate lower light. They tend to bleach if put in high light conditions.
